Preparing for Your Remodel

  • Step 1. Meet With Us

Step 1 – Meet with Us

After gathering general information, we will schedule a time to meet with you in our design center to discuss your project in detail. We encourage our new clients to visit us first for three really important reasons:

Safety: This way you don’t have strangers coming to your home first. The visit to our design center will give you a clear idea of who we are and what we represent.

Hands-on Experience: You will get to experience first-hand the kinds of products we carry and if these products will meet your requirements in the ultimate design of your project.

Portfolio Review: We can go over current and past projects and budgets with you to see if any of these would meet your requirements. This is probably the most important piece of information that you need before we go out to your home.

  • Step 2. Complimentary Home Visit

Step 2 – Complimentary Home Visit

After the initial meeting has taken place in our design center, your consultant will come out to your home to see the space in person, review your goals and objectives, and discuss the timeline and budget. By the end of this meeting, if both parties agree to be a good fit, we then enter the design and product selection phase.

  • Step 3. Design Selection

    Step 3 – Design Selection

At this stage, your consultant will invite you back into our design center where you are presented with an initial plan, which includes multiple 3D drawings of your space. With the guidance of your consultant, this is also when you will make product and design selections. Your consultant will work hand-in-hand with you to refine the drawings as necessary.

  • Step 4. The Construction Agreement

Step 4 – The Construction Agreement

After the designs have been reviewed and approved, we will present you with the final construction plan and agreement which discusses the full scope of work, product selections and cost. Once the agreement is signed, we begin to order your materials and provide you with an estimated start date.

  • Step 5. Pre-Start Meeting

    Step 5 – Pre-Start Agreement

Typically a week prior to the start of work, an on-site meeting is scheduled between the client, the construction manager and the lead carpenter. At this time, you will review all things related to your project, including but not limited to: site access, work hours and what to expect along the way.
